AMERICA’S BEST BACKYARD:
“The Best of Backyard Tools”
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. See the tools you need to get the job done in your backyard.
You know that for more than 135 years, America's Best Chew has embodied the traditions and values that have helped shape America. And a big part of those values is knowing the importance—and the reward—of hard work. That's why we're sharing an inside look at the tools you should use to create your version of “America's Best Backyard.”
Today, America’s Best Chew is highlighting “The Best of Backyard Tools.”
LAWNMOWERS
You may not love mowing the lawn—or maybe you enjoy having a little time to yourself—but there’s no doubt that freshly cut grass makes any backyard look better. Depending on the size and type of turf found in your backyard, you may be able to keep your lawn looking its best with a traditional push mower, or even an electric option. For larger lawns, a self-propelled gas engine or a riding mower may be a better choice.
TIP: Look for a mower that’s easy to maneuver around backyard obstacles, like trees, flower beds, or narrow spaces.
CHAINSAWS
When used safely, a chainsaw can help keep your backyard landscape looking a cut above. Consider the weight, design, and feel of the chainsaw to ensure it’s easy to handle and comfortable for you to use. Some modern chainsaw models even feature anti-vibration systems and ergonomic designs, to keep your arms from getting tired during use.
TIP: To reduce noise, an electric or battery-powered chainsaw may be your best bet for use in residential areas. But if you don’t have to worry about nearby neighbors, you can make all the noise you want!
WHEELBARROWS
Although America’s Best Chew has been providing traditional tobacco taste for more than 135 years, that’s barely a blink of the eye when considering the history of the common wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow’s roots extend all the way back to the year 231 A.D., but modern wheelbarrows offer some convenient improvements over their distinctly old-school ancestors. Today, dual-wheel wheelbarrows provide better stability and weight distribution, letting you haul larger loads without breaking your back.
TIP: Pneumatic tires on a wheelbarrow will provide better shock absorption and maneuverability, helping you handle uneven or rough terrains.
